Overview

What it is

Living gluten-free in a shared household is not hard, but it is detailed. Most mistakes happen in the same places: a shared toaster, a stock cube, a forgotten label. This system puts those details in one place. It is not a loose recipe book: it is a workbook that calculates, with a guide, printables and a worked example.

How it works

Six steps, always in the same order and the same colour across the workbook, the guide and the printables: kitchen, plan, shop, labels, eat out and follow-up.

  1. Enter how many people you cook for. The shopping list scales to that number.
  2. Pick a recipe for each meal of the week from 20 editable gluten-free recipes, or your own.
  3. The shopping list works itself out, ingredient by ingredient, by aisle. Enter what you already have at home and see only what you need to buy.
  4. Log the products whose label you have checked, with the date. The workbook flags the ones to re-check every six months.
  5. Go through the safe-kitchen checklist: 15 checks to avoid cross-contamination.
  6. Note symptoms in a diary to talk through with your doctor, and carry the label card and the eating-out card.

What makes it different

  • A shopping list that comes from the menu, not from memory.
  • 20 simple home-cooking recipes, each with a note on which label to check.
  • A ready-to-print eating-out card (in the English edition, also in Spanish).
  • Calculations are visible formulas, no macros: they behave the same in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets.
  • Protected sheets so formulas cannot be deleted by accident, and a worked example of a family of three.

What it is not

An organising aid. It is not medical or dietetic advice and does not replace your doctor or dietitian. Coeliac disease needs a medical diagnosis: if you think someone may have it, do not remove gluten from their diet before testing. Labels, recipes and ingredients change: check every label yourself. Recipe quantities are approximate. It makes no promise about health outcomes.

What it helps you do

  • Plan the week and the shopping list works itself out
  • Know which label to check in each recipe
  • A safe kitchen with a clear checklist
  • Cards ready for your bag: labels and eating out
  • A symptom diary to talk through with your doctor

Frequently asked questions

What exactly do I receive?

One ZIP with the workbook with 20 recipes, the Master Guide, the “Start here” document, 6 printables in A4 and Letter, a worked example and the documentation. You download it from “My products” instantly.

Does it replace my doctor or dietitian?

No. It is an organising aid, not medical or dietetic advice. Coeliac disease needs a medical diagnosis and follow-up should be with your healthcare team.

Can I remove gluten before seeing the doctor?

We do not recommend it: removing gluten before testing can distort the diagnosis. If you suspect coeliac disease, talk to your doctor first.

Are all the recipes and products safe?

The recipes use naturally gluten-free ingredients, but processed products (stock, sauces, sausages, rice cakes) can contain gluten or traces. Each recipe says which label to check; always check the label yourself.

Can I add my own recipes?

Yes. Add them in Recipes and their ingredients in Ingredients, and the shopping list picks them up automatically.

Does it work in Google Sheets and LibreOffice?

It is built only with functions common to all three programs and has no macros. The calculations were checked with an independent formula engine; it has not been tested on a desktop Excel installation or printed on paper.

What is the difference between the Spanish edition, the English edition and the pack?

Each edition is written independently in its own language, with its own sheet and file names. The pack includes both for less than buying them separately.
